Receiving and paying Water, Sewer and Property Tax Bills during the Canada Post Strike

Kawartha Lakes – During the Canada Post strike, residents of Kawartha Lakes will not receive Water, Sewer or Property Tax bills in the mail. Despite the interruption in postal service, it is important to note that all bills must still be paid on time. The Municipality offers several options to help residents access their bills and ensure timely payment.

Specific accounts affected include utility accounts starting with the following numbers:

• 093 and 095 for accounts in Lindsay
• 110 for accounts in Mariposa
• 140 for accounts in Woodville
• 160 for accounts in Eldon

The payment for these bills is due: Thursday January 2, 2025.

Easy options to make payments

Choose one of the following electronic payment methods:

1. Pre-Authorized Debit:
   Complete the Property Tax Pre-Authorized Debit Agreement Application or the Utility Billing Pre-Authorized Debit Agreement Application.
2. Online Banking:
   Pay through your online banking institution by adding one of the following payees:

• Kawartha Lakes Taxes (for Property Tax)
• Kawartha Lakes Utility (for Water and Sewer)

Use your Property Tax 19-digit roll number (e.g., 1651xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) or Utility Billing 15-digit account number (no spaces or decimals) when making a payment.
