Kawartha Lakes – The City of Kawartha Lakes wishes to remind residents and visitors of Bobcaygeon who are on municipal water services that Phase One Water Conservation Measures remain in effect until further notice.
Kawartha Lakes – The Boil Water Advisory issued on Thursday, July 24, 2025 for the Kinmount Drinking Water System located in Village of Kinmount, Ontario has been rescinded by the Medical Officer of Health.
Kawartha Lakes - The Medical Officer of Health has directed the City of Kawartha Lakes to issue a Drinking Water Advisory on Thursday July 24, 2025 due to a loss of pressure in the distribution system due to a short generator failure at the Water Treatment facility. Notices were hand delivered to residents late evening on Thursday July 24.
Kawartha Lakes – The City of Kawartha Lakes wishes to notify residents and visitors of Bobcaygeon who are on municipal water services, to implement water conservation measures effective Tuesday July 22, 2025, until further notice.
Kawartha Lakes – The City of Kawartha Lakes is asking residents and visitors to reduce non-essential water use during the hot summer months. As temperatures rise, people use more water, which puts extra pressure on our municipal drinking water systems.
The municipality would like to extend its sincere thanks to residents for their patience and understanding as we worked to resolve the July 4 emergency mechanical issue that resulted in discoloured water for some residents on the Lindsay municipal drinking water system.
Users of the Sonya municipal drinking water system may experience periods of pressure fluctuations and/or low pressure on Tuesday July 15, 2025.
These fluctuations will be temporary and regular pressure levels will resume once the system upgrades have been completed. During the upgrades, the drinking water supply will be supplemented with water from another municipal drinking water system. While the difference in drinking water source may result in a change to taste and odour, please note that this will not affect the quality of water. The water will remain safe to drink.
