Celebrate 25 Years with an official Kawartha Lakes flag
Kawartha Lakes – As Kawartha Lakes celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2026, residents can now purchase an official City flag to mark the milestone and celebrate the community.
A new supply of City of Kawartha Lakes flags is available for purchase at all Municipal Service Centres (Bobcaygeon, Coboconk, Lindsay and Omemee).
Each flag costs $45 (plus HST), measures 36 inches by 72 inches, and is proudly made in Barrie, Ontario.
Display the official City flag at your home, cottage, dock, business or community space to celebrate 25 years of Kawartha Lakes and showcase one of the symbols that represents our municipality.
About the Kawartha Lakes flag
Kawartha Lakes adopted its official flag in 2007 following a community design contest. The winning design was created by Oakwood resident Daryle Anne Wright.
Every part of the flag tells the story of Kawartha Lakes:
- The blue stripe represents the many lakes and rivers throughout the municipality
- The green stripe represents agricultural lands, parks and trails
- The sun celebrates Kawartha Lakes as a welcoming destination
- The evergreen trees represent the sustainable growth of the municipality
For nearly 20 years, the flag has represented the people, places and natural beauty that make Kawartha Lakes unique. As the City celebrates its 25th anniversary, it's a meaningful way to recognize our shared history and look ahead to the future.
