Celebrate BGC Kawarthas Club Day on June 5

Kawartha Lakes – For more than 125 years, BGC Clubs have been helping kids and teens across Canada grow, learn, and succeed. Millions of young people have found support, friendship, and new opportunities through BGC Clubs. 

On June 5, everyone is invited to join BGC Kawarthas for Club Day, to celebrate the lifelong impact of BGC Clubs. Through trained staff and volunteers, and programs and services, these clubs help kids and teens in our communities build confidence, learn new skills, and reach their goals. 

"Our children are our future, and investing in their success benefits us all,” said Mayor Doug Elmslie. “I am proud to recognize BGC Kawarthas Club Day and thank the dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters who create safe and welcoming spaces where young people can learn, grow, and thrive." 

At BGC Clubs, they believe that opportunity changes everything. When young people have the support they need, they can achieve great things.

Date: Friday June 5, 2026 

Place: BGC Kawarthas, 107 Lindsay St S, Lindsay 

Events include: 

• 3 to 5:30pm: Open House and activities at Front Lawn
• 3 to 4:30pm: Rainbow walkway painting (outdoors) 
• 4:30 to 5:30pm: Barbeque
• 5 to 7pm: Face painting and lawn games
