Closure Notice: Victoria Rail Trail

Beginning July 27, 2026, bridge rehabilitation work will be taking place on the Victoria Rail Trail, north of the Somerville 3rd Concession.

To allow the work to proceed safely while maintaining public access, a temporary bypass route utilizing municipal roads will be in place around the construction area.

Trail users can continue to use the trail by following the bypass route shown on the map.

This bypass will be a temporary ORV On-Road Connecting Link and will direct trail riders on the Somerville 3rd Concession, Kawartha Lakes County Road 121, Burnt River Road and the Somerville 6th Concession.

Please use caution in the construction zone and while traveling the ORV On-Road Connecting Link bypass route, as it follows municipal roads that may have vehicle traffic.
