Construction Notice: Culvert replacements scheduled in Pontypool and Kirkfield
Kawartha Lakes – Culvert replacements are starting this month at five locations in Kawartha Lakes as part of the City’s 2026 Culvert Replacement Program.
The work will replace existing road-crossing culverts and may include excavation, backfilling, ditch restoration and road restoration. Master Utility Division Inc. (M.U.D.) has been awarded the contract for the work.

- Paving at the Pontypool locations is scheduled for November 9 and 10
- Hours of work will generally be Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm
- Additional construction work is scheduled for Saturday, October 31 and Saturday, November 7
- Dates may change due to weather or other factors
Traffic and access impacts
Road closures and detours will be in place at each location during construction. Motorists should follow posted detour signs and directions from traffic control personnel, and use caution around workers and construction equipment.
Access to nearby properties may be restricted during construction. The contractor will make every effort to maintain access and minimize disruptions. Hand-delivered notices have been provided to residents directly affected by the work.
