Construction Notice: Sadowa Bridge replacement starts July 2026

Kawartha Lakes – Construction starts soon on the replacement of the Sadowa Bridge located on Chisholm Trail. The project will improve safety and support the long-term reliability of the bridge.

The work will include:

• Removal of the existing bridge and foundation components
• Installation of new piles and structural components
• Construction of a new concrete bridge deck, walls, and approach slabs
• Road restoration, guide rail installation, and asphalt paving

Work is expected to begin on July 8 and is expected to be completed by December 11, weather permitting. The project has been awarded to Envision Excavating Ltd.

Traffic and access

To allow the work to be completed safely, the Sadowa Bridge will be fully closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic for the duration of construction.

A signed detour route will be in place, and local access will be maintained where possible. Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs and use caution when travelling near the construction area.
