On October 1, Autumn Campbell and Jordan Kaiser were presented with the Governor General’s Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal during a special ceremony hosted by the Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs in Niagara Falls.

Celebrating a successful resuscitation and lifesaving teamwork

On October 7, Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service recognized the individuals involved in a successful resuscitation that took place in September. This included the bystander, dispatch, and paramedic teams.

The celebration was made even more meaningful by the attendance of the patient and their family, who joined those involved to share their gratitude. It was a rare opportunity to bring together everyone who contributed to the successful resuscitation and celebrate the outcome.

The event served as a reminder of what is possible when community members and emergency services work together during a medical emergency.

Emergency Services Golf Tournament raises $15,000 for local charities

On October 19, representatives from Kawartha Lakes Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue Service and Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service came together to celebrate the success of the annual Emergency Services Golf Tournament.

A total of $15,000 was donated to Kawartha Lakes Food Source and Big Brothers Big Sisters, supporting local programs and services that help residents and families in need. The annual tournament highlights the strong partnerships between local emergency services and their shared commitment to giving back to the communities they serve.

Keeping our communities safe, healthy and connected
