Share your thoughts on driving school activity in Kawartha Lakes

Kawartha Lakes – Driving instruction plays an important role in helping new drivers build skills and confidence on the road. At the same time, residents have shared questions and concerns about how driving school vehicles operate in certain neighbourhoods and areas of Kawartha Lakes.

We are gathering public feedback to better understand community experiences, concerns, and perspectives related to driving school operations. This includes topics such as traffic flow, road safety, repeated use of residential streets, and where driving instruction may be most appropriate.

Residents, business owners, visitors, and anyone who uses local roads are encouraged to share their thoughts. Your input will help inform a future report to Council and support decisions that reflect the needs of the community.

Take the survey before May 22 by visiting jumpinkawarthalakes.ca/driving-school-operations

The information collected through this survey will help the City of Kawartha Lakes explore whether additional regulations or guidelines for Driving School Operations should be considered in the future. Feedback may also help identify ways to balance driver training needs with neighbourhood impacts, public safety, and local business activity.
