Kawartha Lakes – Parks and recreation facilities and programs are essential to enhancing quality of life and building vibrant, healthy communities. The City of Kawartha Lakes has developed a draft Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan to guide the delivery of recreational services over the next 15 years.
Kawartha Lakes – Prep work has started for the Colborne Street West road widening project. Hydro One has been moving hydro poles and local internet providers are moving their infrastructure in the area as well.

Please be advised: There will be temporary service disruptions at the Lindsay Recreation Complex, which will restrict elevator access to Pad 1 and the Community Room viewing areas due to private events happening on the following dates and times:
The municipality would like to extend its sincere thanks to residents for their patience and understanding as we worked to resolve the July 4 emergency mechanical issue that resulted in discoloured water for some residents on the Lindsay municipal drinking water system.
The Committee of Adjustment webcast is available through the City of Kawartha Lakes livestream at: www.youtube.com/c/CityofKawarthaLakes.
Video and/or audio recording is not permitted during Council or Committee of Council meetings, pursuant to Trespass to Property Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. T.21.
Users of the Sonya municipal drinking water system may experience periods of pressure fluctuations and/or low pressure on Tuesday July 15, 2025.
These fluctuations will be temporary and regular pressure levels will resume once the system upgrades have been completed. During the upgrades, the drinking water supply will be supplemented with water from another municipal drinking water system. While the difference in drinking water source may result in a change to taste and odour, please note that this will not affect the quality of water. The water will remain safe to drink.
