You’re invited to celebrate the new runway at the Kawartha Lakes Municipal Airport
Kawartha Lakes – You’re invited to Wings and Wheels at the Kawartha Lakes Municipal Airport on Saturday, September 19.
Presented by the Kawartha Classic Kruisers, in support of the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes, the event will feature:
- aircraft and classic cars
- food and entertainment
- door prizes and a 50/50 draw
- dash plaques for the first 100 vehicles
This year's event also gives visitors a chance to see the airport's newly completed 740-metre paved runway.
The new runway replaces the former grass runway. It was built in a new location and direction to improve safety, support airport operations and move flight paths farther from nearby residential areas.
