    Proposed Surplus Declaration and Sale - Municipal Property on Logie Street

    Take Notice that, pursuant to By-law 2018-020, as amended, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Kawartha Lakes will hear a proposal to declare the City-owned property municipally known as vacant lot on Logie Street and legally described as Park Lot 8 on the West Side of Logie Street and Park Lot 9 on the West Side of Logie Street on Plan 15, Except R347372, R388574, R408368, Part 1 on 57R-6750; in the Geographic Town of Lindsay, in the City of Kawartha Lakes, surplus to its needs at its Committee of the Whole meeting to be held on September 9, 2025 commencing at 1:00 p.m., followed by its Regular Council Meeting to be held on September 23, 2025 commencing at 1:00 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 26 Francis Street, Lindsay, Ontario. Should the proposal be approved, the subject land will be prepared for sale on the open market.

  • Lindsay Recreation Complex Service Disruption notice
    Notice of Temporary Service Disruptions: Lindsay Recreation Complex April 7 to April 13, 2025.

    Notice: There will be temporary service disruptions at the Lindsay Recreation Complex, which will restrict elevator access to Pad 1 and the Community Room viewing areas due to private events happening on the following dates and times:

  • Fenelon Falls and Lindsay Wastewater Systems overflows ended

    Kawartha Lakes – The overflow from the Fenelon Falls Wastewater System – Colborne Street and Francis Street East Sewage Pumping Stations ended Saturday April 5 at 12pm. The overflow from the Lindsay Wastewater System – Rivera Park Sewage Pumping Station ended Sunday April 6 at 12:30pm.

  • Boil Water Advisory Rescinded for Woodfield Drinking Water System, Bethany

    Kawartha Lakes – The Boil Water Advisory issued on Monday, March 31, 2025 for the Woodfield Drinking Water System located in Village of Bethany, Ontario has been rescinded by the Medical Officer of Health.

    Persons using the water supply from the Woodfield Drinking Water System are no longer required to boil their drinking water.  The water is safe for human consumption.

    Kawartha Lakes – The Kawartha Lakes Community Paramedic team is offering to do health and well-being checks throughout the community.

    If you would like our Community Paramedics to check on a family member, friend, vulnerable person or whomever, this weekend (April 5 and April 6), please email cpresponse@kawarthalakes.ca and include the person’s name, address and phone number.

  • Routine Sanitary Sewer Flushing - Lindsay - Monday April 7, 2025

    Routine sanitary sewer flushing set to begin April 7, 2025

    Kawartha Lakes – Routine sanitary sewer flushing is set to begin in Kawartha Lakes this week.

    The contractor will be starting in Lindsay on April 7, 2025 with one truck working in the area of Richard Avenue and Kirkconnell Road and a second truck working in the area of Thrushwood Trail and Blueberry Lane. Locations will change and will be updated as received.

    Ministry of Natural Resources has issued a Flood Warning for Black and Burnt River Watershed

    The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) – Bancroft Work Centre is advising area residents that a Flood Warning is in effect for the Black River and Burnt River watershed in the Peterborough Bancroft District until Friday April 11, 2025.

    Residents should expect water levels to rise and river flows to increase through the April 5 to April 6 weekend and into the week of April 7 to April 11. Runoff into local lakes and rivers has increased significantly with recent rainfall, snow melt, and warm weather.
