Janetville

The City of Kawartha Lakes, Parks and Recreation division Capital project for the Arbour Park redevelopment is currently in the procurement phase to award a contractor the work.

Why This Work is Needed:

This Capital Project identified expansionary redevelopment needs for Arbour Park in Janetville. The redevelopment to the park follows the guiding design principals which include; fun, accessible, safe, and comfortable use, while also being a key contributor to community health, connectivity, liveability, and sustainability.

Scope of Work:

Replacement and improvements through this project, will feature the following amenities:

• disc golf course
• recreational trails
• alternative connections for neighbouring residents
• playground upgrades
• tree canopy enhancements
• optional parking
• recreational games

Access Impacts:

It is anticipated that a contractor will be awarded and construction will start in the spring. Please be courteous and mindful of the construction team. We ask that you keep and maintain a safe distance from active construction activities once the work has begun.
