Kawartha Lakes – The municipality is advising residents connected to the municipal drinking water system in Lindsay that a mechanical failure occurred within the water reservoir on July 4, 2025, resulting in higher-than-normal flows through the system.
The issue was promptly addressed, with full repairs completed and normal operations restored later that evening.
Kawartha Lakes – Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Kawartha Lakes as a heat event is set to begin Saturday July 5, 2025. Dangerously hot and humid temperatures are expected to last through at least Sunday July 6, 2025.

On Monday July 7, 2025 at 10am, there will be a Pride flag-raising ceremony at City Hall (26 Francis Street) in Lindsay.
