Your Mayor

The current Mayor of Kawartha Lakes is Doug Elmslie.

The current Deputy Mayor of Kawartha Lakes is Ward 7 Councillor Charlie McDonald.

The Mayor's Office receives invitations for the Mayor and/or Councillors to attend significant events in the community. Please try to give us as much notice as possible as there are many events in Kawartha Lakes. The Mayor and Councillors intend to attend as many as possible, however this may not always be an option. The Mayor's Office may suggest having the Deputy Mayor or local Councillor attend your event in place of the Mayor. Please contact the Mayor's Office to coordinate an invitation to your event: 705-324-9411 ext. 1310.

The Mayor's Office offers certificates of congratulations to Kawartha Lakes residents celebrating milestone birthdays or anniversaries in our community. You can request a Certificate of Congratulations from the Mayor or your local Councillor online. Please allow two weeks for certificate preparation.
