Arena and Ice Rentals
Kawartha Lakes operates nine artificial ice surfaces, in eight arenas. All arenas are single pad, except for the Lindsay Recreation Complex which operates two ice surfaces (Pad One and Pad Two).
Ice surfaces are available to rent all year long at locations servicing ice during April through August.
During the off season (April through August). Many ice surfaces are used as Arena Floors. These surfaces are available to rent for non-ice events such as lacrosse, floor hockey and large special events.
All Arena floor bookings are coordinated through the Facility Booking Office.
To learn more, please email the Facility Booking Office, or call 705-324-9411 extension 1226.
Browse our arenas and ice pads online to find the perfect location for your next game or special event.
Full Season - Ice Request Form
To ensure access to facilities are fair and equitable for all existing and potential users, the municipality has established an allocation process. This process will take place before each ice season, with the following considerations:
- A coordinated allocation of various facilities to develop the most effective and efficient use of facilities.
- To provide appropriate time slots and opportunities for all levels and types of use by users.
- To promote and allow growth toward maximum utilization of facilities.
- To service the demand and warranted change, resulting from changing demographics and recreation/leisure trends, by maintaining sufficient flexibility of scheduling.
- To accommodate local community user groups.
- To establish clear priority listing for allocation of available facility time.
For further information refer to the City of Kawartha Lakes Ice Facility Allocation Management Directive.
