Boat Launches

Kawartha Lakes is home to more than 250 lakes and rivers connected by the historic Trent-Severn Waterway and is known as the Houseboat Capital of Ontario.

Municipal Dock locations

  • Old Mill Park, Kent Street East - Scugog River
  • Front Street, Bobcaygeon – Pigeon Lake
  • Third Concession - Burnt River  -  Dock has not been installed due to the high water levels. The dock is expected to be installed by the beginning of June 2023.
  • Osprey Lane – Lake Dalrymple
  • Hillside Drive – Four Mile Lake
  • Pleasant Point, Chickadee Court – Lake Scugog
  • Pleasant Point, Sturgeon Lake
  • Sam's Dock - Thurstonia
  • Rivera Park, Lindsay - Scugog River
    Overnight docking is available at this location. Payment, access to washrooms overnight, and shower facilities have been cancelled.

Four Mile Lake Boat Launch Notice

Pursuant to Kawartha Lakes By-law 2006-147 and Somerville By-law 95-20 boats are only permitted to be launched or landed during the below dates and times:

  • Beginning the Friday before July 1 holiday, to and including, July 31 from 7am to 9am and 6pm to 9:30pm.
  • Beginning August 1, to and including, the Friday before Labour Day from 7am to 9am, 12pm to 1:30pm and 6pm to 9:30pm.
