The Kawartha Lakes Small Business Centre (KLSBC) offers free, confidential, and customized advising on launching and growing your business. We have experience supporting new entrepreneurs starting from scratch and consulting with seasoned business owners looking to scale.
A consultation is a private meeting with our advisor to discuss your business and common business requirements. The first meeting is typically held as a virtual meeting. Support is provided to those who are new to virtual calls.
Are you ready for a consultation?
If you have industry experience, some funding to invest in a business (it can be small!), commitment to showing up, and time to invest in your business, it's the right time for a consultation.
If you are having trouble paying for your basic living expenses and need money immediately, VCCS may be a better fit to find a job. We are happy to meet with you when your situation fits what is described above.

- A summary of what you've done so far
- A notebook or digital notes to write down key take-aways and next actions
Cancellation Guidelines
Our one‑on‑one consultations are in high demand and offered at no cost. We kindly request that clients provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an advisory appointment. This allows us to offer the time to another business owner. Missed appointments without notice or late cancellations may result in delays or limits on future bookings or a loss of priority access to advisory services.
