Kawartha Lakes – The following are highlights from the Regular Council Meeting on March 18, 2025.

The Regular Council minutes from February 18, 2025 were received and adopted.

Kawartha Lakes - Staff are conducting pressure tests today in the Oakwood Drinking Water System. Some residents may experience pressure fluctuations. These are temporary and pressure will resume when the testing is complete.

UPDATE: The blockage was removed by the MNR/Parks Canada last night (March 20), water is flowing normally and the flood risk at the Kinmount Dam has been mitigated.

Kawartha Lakes – Following a winter of historic snowfall, Kawartha Lakes is gearing up for potential spring flooding. As snow melts, some areas are prone to high water levels, and residents in flood-prone zones are encouraged to prepare.

The City of Kawartha Lakes has completed the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) Update that incorporates updated population and employment forecasts to guide the enhancement of a multi-modal transportation network to the year 2051.
