    Kawartha Lakes is now accepting applications for the Local Economic Development Support Grant and the Cultural Facilities Operational Support Grant. These programs help cover operating costs for non-profits that build community pride and boost our local economy.

    Storm Update for Kawartha Lakes – April 14, 2025

    Kawartha Lakes – The City of Kawartha Lakes Emergency Operations Centre met today to assess ongoing storm recovery efforts and plan for the next phase of clean up. Premier Ford visited on the weekend to understand the extent of the damage. The Premier thanked front line staff including Fire, Paramedics, OPP and Kawartha Lakes Police Services. MPP Laurie Scott also attended.

  • Kawartha Lakes ends Significant Weather Event that was declared on March 29, 2025

    Kawartha Lakes – Effective as of 4:30pm on Monday April 14, 2025 (today), Kawartha Lakes has ended the Significant Weather Event that was declared on March 29, 2025 per O. Reg. 239/02 of the Municipal Act 2001.

    Service levels for the roads are now back to normal and the Minimum Maintenance Standards (MMS) and Council Policy targets are being met.

    All administration and Municipal Service Centres are closed during regular hours of operation on Friday April 18 (Good Friday). Municipal Service Centres will return to regular business hours on Monday April 21.
