Business Count

Thank you to all participants of the 2025 Kawartha Lakes Business Count program.

The Kawartha Lakes Business Count project is a collaborative project to support local economic development.

The Business Count provides a snapshot of the Kawartha Lakes business community and to better understand and strengthen the local economy, as well as inform policies and programs.

The geographic focus of the in-person survey is in the downtowns and industrial areas of Bobcaygeon, Coboconk and Norland, Fenelon Falls, Lindsay, Omemee, and Pontypool.

The 2025 Business Count Report will be available in 2026.

How to Participate

A team of surveyors visit local businesses in the survey area by person, by phone, or email throughout the summer months to gather the information.

Businesses outside of the focus areas can participate by completing an online survey during the survey period.

Project Partners

This project is led by the City of Kawartha Lakes Economic Development division in partnership with the Bobcaygeon & Area Chamber of Commerce, Coboconk, Norland & Area Chamber of Commerce, Fenelon Falls & District Chamber of Commerce, the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce, and the Lindsay Downtown BIA (LDBIA).
