As a regional centre for agri-business retail and support services, Kawartha Lakes has all the major farm equipment dealers, large commercial grain elevators, input suppliers, a livestock sale barn, and large animal veterinary services to support over 1,100 crop and livestock farming operations. We’re home to the largest community pasture in Ontario, two dairy processing businesses with national and international distribution. Kawartha Lakes is also home to several seed production and marketing businesses including the Canadian head office of a world-class seed production facility serving international markets.
