The Kawartha Lakes Health Care Initiative (KLHCI) is an incorporated non-profit, charitable organization that recruits and retains family physicians to work in Kawartha Lakes. They conduct research and provide public education, outreach and advocacy services.

Ross Memorial Hospital is the major health care facility in Kawartha Lakes.

Learn and Practice

KLHCI and Ross Memorial Hospital work with the Rural Ontario Medical Program to provide elective opportunities to medical students and residents in family medicine and a variety of specialties.
