Kawartha Lakes – Parks and Recreation outdoor spaces took a huge hit during the Ice Storm and closed due to significant damage and safety concerns.
The purpose of the consent is for the validation of title for the Subject Land at 913 Highway 35 (legally described as Part of Lot 10, Concession 7), Manvers, now City of Kawartha Lakes.
In 1989, the applicant conveyed a small lot on the property (the severed land), 601 Gray Road (legally described as Part of Lot 10, Concession 7, Part Lot 1), to Bell Canada. The conveyed lands contain a Bell Canada operated substation. The Grant of Easement obtained through the Consent was never formally registered and is considered invalid, and as such, the title of the Subject Land remains unvalidated.
This Public Meeting will be held virtually with electronic public participation.
The Committee of Adjustment webcast is available through the City of Kawartha Lakes livestream at: www.youtube.com/c/CityofKawarthaLakes.
All recommendations made at Committee of the Whole will return to Regular Council for review and/or adoption on May 20, 2025.
