Recycling changes now in effect in Kawartha Lakes
As of January 1, 2026, residential recycling in Kawartha Lakes is managed by Circular Materials, a not-for-profit organization appointed by producers under Ontario’s new Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework.
Recycling is now collected by Emterra. For questions related to recycling, such as collection schedules or missed pickups, please contact Emterra directly using the information below.

Kawartha Lakes – Victoria Manor is excited to announce its annual Wellness Fair, offering older adults, seniors, families, team members and community members an opportunity to explore various local wellness services tailored especially for seniors. Kawartha Lakes – Kawartha Lakes' Roads Operations division announced today that road conditions have permitted the removal of load weight restrictions for all municipal roads south of County Road 8 (Glenarm Road). Load restrictions on the section of County Road 8 east of Fenelon Falls to Bobcaygeon remain in effect.
