Round-up Days

Round Up Dates for 2026:

All Round Up Day Events will run from 8am to 12pm.

1. June 20 - Carden Recreation Centre - 258 Lake Dalrymple Rd, Sebright
2. July 25 - Rolling Hills Public School - 694 Hwy 7A/Hwy 35, Manvers
3. August 15 - Bobcaygeon Public School - 30 Balaclava St., Bobcaygeon
4. August 29 - Coboconk Roads Depot - 2863 Kawartha Lakes Road 48, Coboconk

Here’s what you can bring to our Round Up Day events:

Household Hazardous Waste

Items accepted include:

• automotive products
• batteries
• paints and solvents
• household products
• empty tanks and containers
• personal care products
• products that contain mercury
• pesticides and fertilizers

Textiles

NOTE: Textiles are currently only being accepted at the June 20 Carden Round Up Day.

Items accepted include:

• Clothing:
  • activewear
  • bathing suits
  • bathrobes
  • accessories (belts, ties, hats, purses, scarves)
  • socks and undergarments
  • dresses, jeans, pants, parkas, shirts, skirts, sweaters, t-shirts
  • uniforms
• Footwear: 
  • athletic and running shoes
  • boots
  • cleats
  • dress shoes and high heels
  • slip-ons and slippers
  • loafers and sneakers
• Linens: 
  • bedding (blankets, comforters, sheets, sleeping bags)
  • curtains and mats
  • cushions and pillows
  • oven mitts
  • sewing fabric
  • stuffed toys
  • towels, wash cloths and rags

Note: ripped and stained items are accepted for recycling.

Bulky Plastics

Items accepted include:

• plastic beverage crates (milk crates)
• clean plastic drums
• totes
• empty garbage cans and recycling bins
• plastic lawn furniture
• clean plastic buckets/pails (with any metal handles removed)

Items must be greater than 10 litres or 10 kilograms capacity (2.5 gallon), up to and including the size of Kawartha Lakes’ largest recycling bin (95 gallon).

Items not accepted: 

• toys
• rubber
• tarps
• carpet
• liners and pool covers
• dock barrels
• PVC/ABS pipes
• vinyl siding
• boat wrap
• coolers
• anything that contains metal

Electronics

Items accepted include:

• computers and all accessories (headphones, mice, keyboards, etc.)
• networking equipment (servers, switches, routers, etc.)
• mobile devices (cell phones, tablets, mp3 players, e-readers, etc.)
• displays (flatscreen TVs, monitors)
• printers (copiers, fax machines, scanners, etc.)
• audio/video equipment (cable boxes, DVD/CD players, projectors, cameras, stereo systems, etc.)
• small appliances (microwave, toaster, kettle, blender/mixer, slow cooker, coffee maker, etc.)
• game systems, games, DVDs, CDs
