Bulk Water

Bulk water stations provide municipal water for filling tanks, water containers and other large-volume uses. The City of Kawartha Lakes has five stations in Lindsay, Fenelon Falls and Norland.

Stations may be coin-operated or use an automated Flowpoint system. Equipment, payment methods and connection requirements vary by location, so check the station details before you visit.

Bulk water station update – July 2026

The bulk water station at 33 Mary Street East in Lindsay is out of service until further notice.

We are working on a solution. In the meantime, please use the coin-operated station at 50 Thornhill Road in Lindsay.


Bulk Water Station Locations

The City of Kawartha Lakes has five bulk water stations across Lindsay, Fenelon Falls and Norland. These stations provide large amounts of municipal water for uses such as filling tanks and water containers.

Some stations are coin-operated and others use an automated system. The equipment and requirements are different at each location, so check the information for the station you plan to use before you visit.

Lindsay

50 Thornhill Road – Thornhill Reservoir

Two stations are available:

  • Automated Flowpoint
  • Coin-operated

33 Mary Street East – Lindsay Water Treatment Plant

  • Coin-operated
  • Currently out of service until further notice
  • Please use the coin-operated station at 50 Thornhill Road.

Fenelon Falls

97 Francis Street West – Water Treatment Plant

  • Automated Flowpoint

19 Market Street – Fenelon Falls Library

  • Coin-operated
  • Public use; no account or key required

Norland

3474 Monck Road

How to Use a Bulk Water Station

Automated Flowpoint stations

You need:

  • A bulk water account
  • A bulk water key
  • Your own hose
  • A female coupling

Coupling sizes:

  • 50 Thornhill Road: 3-inch
  • 97 Francis Street West: 2-inch

Bulk water keys are $25 and are available at:

  • Lindsay Municipal Service Centre, 26 Francis Street
  • Fenelon Falls Library, 19 Market Street

Coin-operated stations

50 Thornhill Road and 33 Mary Street East:

  • Your own hose
  • 2-inch female coupling
  • $1 coins (loonies)

19 Market Street and 3474 Monck Road:

  • Quarters or $1 coins
  • Hoses and couplings cannot be connected
